THE PROPHET’S COMPANIONS رضي الله عنهم

WRITE A SHORT BIOGRAPHY ON:
1. ZAYD IBN HARITHAH 

رضي الله عنه





Zayd ibn Harithah was a slave who was set free by the Prophet. When he was eight years old, the Prophet adopted him as his son. Zayd married Umm Ayman. They had a son called Usamah. Both Zayd and Usamah were regarded as members of the Prophet’s family. Zayd loved the Prophet more than his own parents. May Allah be pleased with him.


2. JAFAR AT TAYYAR 

رضي الله عنه






His full name was Jafar bin Abi Talib al-Hashimi. He was a brother of Ali. He was one of the early Muslims. He was the leader of emigrants in Abyssinia. He took part in the Battle of Mu’tah and became a shaheed. He had lost both his arms in the fight. He was given the title at-Tayyar – the Flyer after his death. May Allah be pleased with him 



3. AL ABBAS  رضي الله عنه
Al Abbas ibn Abd Al Mutallib رضي الله عنه was an uncle of the Prophet. He was two or three older than the Prophet. He supported the Prophet in the early years of Islam. After the Hijrah, he used to send news of the Quraysh to the Prophet. In the 7-8 A.H, he embraced Islam and migrated to Madinah. He died in Madinah in 32 A.H during the caliphate of Uthman رضي الله عنه May Allah be pleased with him 


4. ABDULLAH IBN UMAR 

رضي الله عنه






He was Umar ibn al Khattab’s eldest son. He is also called as Abu Abdur Rahman. He embraced Islam together with his father. He was very honest and pious. He spent his life in doing religious duties. He was a learned man. He was considered as one of the greatest men of his time as regards Hadith. He died in Makkah in 73 A.H at the age of eighty three. May Allah be pleased with him
